OVERVIEW

The brand shift to serving a gap in the market focused on STEM toys for kids unfortunately being unable to go outside their homes in the middle of the covid-19 pandemic.

From among the various potential names for the brand that were being explored, some kids were asked to simply write down the names in question. The final logo design was heavily influenced by the kids’ handwriting.

Bitsy logo origins was a tremendously fun approach where the team asked a couple of 4-8 year-olds which one their favourite word was- among a bunch of fun and catchy words which would appeal to any child. From there, the word “bitsy” was chosen, and then the kids took turns in writing out “bitsy” in their own handwritings.
